People often fail to pay their electricity bills on time. What makes you think they are going to pay for your emotional one?

Stop giving people overdue notices. Stop reminding folks why you are worthy, loyal, brilliant, loving, gifted, or resilient. Anyone who cannot see your value is spiritually nearsighted — and that is not your problem to fix.

Don’t you dare return yourself to the spiritual customer service counter because someone mishandled you. You are not defective. They were simply not equipped.

Paid in full means:

• You do not shrink to be digested.
• You do not dim to make others comfortable.
• You do not contort your standards for people who have none.
• You do not apologize for the space you take up.

Your identity is not a clearance item.
