No Explanation Needed

There is a funny thing about life. It has a way of surprising us. Sometimes, the biggest surprise is not a setback or a challenge. It is when things finally start falling into place. It is the moment you wake up, and life feels lighter. The bills are paid. The relationships feel aligned and peace is no longer something you have to chase. It is sitting right next to you. Yet, instead of soaking in the goodness, we hesitate. We brace ourselves for the other shoe to drop.

Let me tell you something: do not be shocked when life gets good.

Some truths we clutch tightly, even when life is trying to rewrite the narrative. But here is the thing: goodness does not require an explanation. It does not come with a test or a condition. It just is.

You do not need permission to enjoy your blessings. Whether it is the dream job, the soulmate, the financial breakthrough, or simply the peace of a quiet morning, you are worthy of it all. So, pause for a moment and think about the younger version of yourself—the one who prayed for these very moments. That person would be proud of you. They would tell you to stop questioning it and simply bask in the glow of the life you have created.

When life gets good, do not brace for impact. Just lean in. Let gratitude guide you through this new season. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Tell yourself daily, “I deserve this.” When doubt creeps in (because it will), remind yourself that joy is not a fleeting gift. Joy is actually a birthright.

Life will always have its ebbs and flows. Challenges may come again, but so will triumphs. The goodness you experience now is not a fluke or a momentary lapse in your “normal” struggle. Rather, it is the result of all you have endured and all you have built.

So do not be shocked. Smile. Exhale. Embrace it. You deserve every bit of this beautiful life. Now go live it fully.

I am doing just that.
