Anointed Attack

When God has an anointing on your life, you better believe that the attacks will come. I have experienced it firsthand. It is like the moment you start walking in your purpose, living out what God has called you to do, there is a target on your back. Admittedly, I still struggled to understand why things seem to go wrong just when I was gaining momentum, but I have come to learn that these attacks are not a reflection of my ability. Rather, they are a sign of my assignment.

When you are anointed, you carry something special, something that not everyone can see, but the enemy knows. And because of that, you will face resistance. Sometimes, it comes from the most unexpected places—friends, family, colleagues, or even situations that seem random. It can feel unfair, even exhausting at times. Nonetheless, I have come to realize these attacks are designed to make me question my worth, doubt my calling, and step back from my purpose. Well, let me tell you, stepping back is not an option.

This is why it is necessary to be prepared. Knowing that attacks will come allows you to brace yourself and maintain a posture of peace, even in the chaos. Without that preparation, it is too easy to fall into frustration, fear, or bitterness. That is exactly where the enemy wants you to be—distracted and disconnected from the source of your strength. However, when you understand these attacks are par for the course, it shifts your perspective. You stop taking it personally and start seeing it as confirmation that you are on the right path.

Preserving your peace and wellbeing in the midst of this is crucial. I’ve had to make intentional choices to guard my mind, protect my spirit, and stay grounded. This means surrounding myself with people who pray for me, who uplift me, and who encourage me when I feel weary. It also means knowing when to step away from negativity and when to stand firm in my faith. The attacks won’t stop, but how I respond is entirely up to me.

There is no room for self-pity or defeat when you know you’re anointed. You have to protect your peace like it’s your lifeline because it is. My wellbeing depends on staying connected to God, seeking His guidance, and trusting that He will fight for me. When I start to feel overwhelmed, I remind myself that the enemy wouldn’t be coming for me if I wasn’t a threat. And with that reminder, I press on.

So, if you feel like you are under attack, take heart. It is not because you are weak or unworthy. It is because you are carrying something powerful, something divine. Besides, while the attacks may come, they do not define you. Stay rooted in your purpose! Protect your peace! Finally, know that God has already equipped you to overcome.

Walk in your purpose,

Erika
