My Why

Life has a way of shaping us, molding us through experiences, challenges, and revelations that often catch us off guard. For me, becoming a life mastery coach was not a career change I stumbled upon. It was the result of my own personal journey, a path that led me to a deeper understanding of what it means to truly live, to heal, and to empower others.

I did not grow up dreaming of becoming a life coach. My childhood, like many, was filled with complexities—dysfunctional family dynamics, emotional upheavals, and moments where I felt unseen and unheard. I had to grow up fast. I also had to learn how to navigate environments where listening wasn’t a given, and communication often felt like a battle. Through those experiences, I developed a sensitivity to people’s energy, a natural instinct for reading between the lines of what they said and what they truly felt. My grandmother called this the gift of discernment.

That intuition (discernment) has stuck with me throughout my life. As I grew older, I found myself constantly in the role of a confidant, the person others turned to when they needed guidance, support, or simply a listening ear. I never planned it. Somehow, I became that person who could help others see the bigger picture. I am still called upon to offer a different perspective when others feel stuck.

The decision to step into this role, however, came after a series of life transitions that left me feeling like I was standing at a crossroads. I have battled breast cancer, experienced the joys and challenges of raising six children, moved away from my hometown, and had to embrace my changing body and mindset. I am also grappling now with the reality of being a grandmother. This is both a blessing and a reminder of the passing of time. All of these experiences have forced me to take a long, hard look at myself—who I was, who I am, who I wanted to be, who I want to be, and what I will be leaving behind in the world.

I have realized through it all, the one constant in my life is my deep desire to help others navigate their own challenges. I do not want to just be a listening ear. I want to equip people with the tools they need to thrive, to master their own lives, no matter the circumstances. I want to show people that no matter where you come from, no matter what you’ve been through, you can take control of your story, write new chapters, and find peace, joy, and fulfillment.

I have always believed in the power of transformation. I have experienced it myself. There were moments in my life where I could have remained stuck, bitter, or broken by what life handed me, but I have made the choice to rise, to learn from it all, and to turn my pain into purpose. This is why I am a life mastery coach.

It is about more than just overcoming challenges. It is about learning how to truly live, in every sense of the word. I strive to help others not just survive their experiences, but to master them, to rise above their circumstances and step into the life they deserve. I want to show them how to navigate life’s complexities with grace, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

As I continue on this journey, my passion grows deeper as time progresses because I see the impact it has—not just on the lives of the people I work with, but on my own. Every person I coach and every life I touch leaves me with a greater understanding of humanity and a renewed sense of purpose. Being a life mastery coach is not just what I do, it is who I am.

By the way, it is the greatest calling I could ever have answered.

With a full heart,

Erika
